Dietozaur can analyse any ingredient list you photograph or type — from common food additives (E-numbers) to allergens, processing aids, and animal-derived components.
When you photograph a product label, Dietozaur reads the ingredient list using image recognition and cross-references each item against your profile's requirements. This includes:
- Named allergens (the 14 major EU allergens — gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, etc.)
- E-number additives — flagging those with religious diet concerns (e.g. E120 carmine from insects) or known intolerances
- Hidden sources — for example, alcohol-based flavourings, rennet in cheese, gelatin in capsule coatings
- Custom allergens or sensitivities you've added to a profile
The AI cannot read blurry photos reliably — for best results, photograph labels in good light with the text horizontal.
